Letter From the Midwife

Hello, thank you for visiting my website. Here at Simple Midwifery, it is my focus to ensure that your pregnancy and delivery experience is healthy, enjoyable, and one in which you are able to learn more about yourself and your body during this special time. On the following page, you will find a schedule of the routine care I provide to make sure you and baby are monitored closely throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. Midwifery care is set up and performed in a way that allows midwives to catch potential problems early and make referrals to obstetricians as necessary. It is my goal to help you achieve the home birth you desire in the safest way posible. I look forward to hearing from you!

Rachel Donckels, LM

"For you formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was being made in secret, intracately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." ~Psalm 139:13-16
